What is a remote video server?
A remote video server is a device that allows you to broadcast video over the Internet. This technology is commonly confused with web cameras. There are significant technological differences. A "video server" is a completely self contained device. I.E., a PC is not required. All of the necessary circuitry and chipsets, including the Internet "NIC" card is built in. A server even has its own operating system. A webcam is merely a camera, often a very low cost and low image quality cmos or (complimentary metal oxide semiconductor) device. There are no software installations necessary with our video server. The operating system is also built-in. Connect any type of video input and access it anywhere, even a home camcorder. You need only an Internet browser. Imagine the possibilities.
Why BlueNet? The BlueNet video server required two years of engineering and quality certifications. It combines a built-in 32-bit reduced RISC processor with a patented proprietary video compression chipset to provide the highest quality imaging possible, without sacrificing speed and fluidity of motion. Some video servers have more features, but you will NOT find another video server that provides higher quality at 30 frames/sec.
Currently, the BlueNet video server supports up to 20 simultaneous users to be logged in to one server. BlueNet Video also features a built-in flash memory system which allows users to remotely and instantly receive future enhancements and features as they become available. In addition, BlueNet Video supports dynamic addressing support for users with DHCP addressing from Internet service providers. There is no longer the need to acquire the added expense of a static IP address from an Internet provider. We provide a FREE DDNS service that communicates with our video servers to allow any and all users to access their servers via a personal web address, such as johndoe.mybluenetvideo.com. It simply doesn’t get any easier.
Simple connections: Video In and Video Out -Uses industry standard BNC connections. We also include BNC to RCA adaptors for those customers that use camcorders and other video cameras that use composite video. Simply attach your camera or purchase one of our server/camera packages. The "video out" connection is there for those customers that may want to send the image to a VCR, TV, security monitor, DVR, etc.
Internet and RS-232 The connection on the far left is a simple ethernet (RJ45) DSL or cable input. Simply plug-in your ethernet cable from your cable modem, switch, router, or wireless internet receiver. Power is supplied by an included 12 Volt AC Adapter. The connector shown in the middle is a 9 pin connector for future enhancements including but not limited to P/T/Z style security cameras, alarms, etc.
